Dan Sperry Joins Knott’s Scary Farm & The Magic Castle for OCCULTUM
Updated: Sep 10
This Halloween season, Dan Sperry is heading back to Southern California — and straight into the fog at Knott’s Scary Farm.
Knott’s Scary Farm and the world-famous Magic Castle have joined forces to present OCCULTUM, an all-new live magic experience taking over the legendary Bird Cage Theatre at Knott’s Berry Farm.
And Dan gets to open the door.
Dan Sperry will kick off OCCULTUM opening weekend, September 17–19, 2026, performing four shows each night as Knott’s Scary Farm begins another season of nightmares.
PRESS: The Orange County Register recently previewed the new show, highlighting Dan Sperry as the first magician to kick off OCCULTUM during opening weekend, with four performances each night.
OCCULTUM: Curated by The Magic Castle
For more than 50 years, Knott’s Scary Farm has transformed Knott’s Berry Farm into one of the most celebrated Halloween events in the country.
For 2026, the park has teamed with Hollywood’s legendary Magic Castle to bring something entirely new to the historic Bird Cage Theatre.
OCCULTUM features a rotating lineup of magicians from the Magic Castle throughout the Knott’s Scary Farm season, bringing live magic, mystery and the unexpected to one of the park’s most storied venues.
For Dan, the combination feels particularly appropriate.
From America’s Got Talent and more than a decade on The CW’s Masters of Illusion to Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, the Sydney Opera House and appearances at the Magic Castle itself, Dan Sperry has spent more than 25 years taking his unmistakable style of magic to stages around the world.
Now, for three nights, it comes to Knott’s Scary Farm.
